Job Description

 

TITLE:                            Executive Director

 

REPORTS TO:               Lakelands Rural Health Network (LRHN)                                             Board of Directors

 

Executive Director of LRHN is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the network, including the development of programs and expansion of the network in an effort to serve as a resource to the health care providers in the counties of Abbeville, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, and Saluda.  This position is also responsible for the administering of any and all grants received by LRHN. 

 

Residence in the LRHN service area is preferred.

 

EDUCATION:                         

Master’s degree in public health or health administration.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Proficient in desktop software computer applications and verbal and written communications. 

Knowledge of business management principles and health

information technology environment preferred.  Knowledge and experience working with state and local health care organizations and grant-writing/fund raising preferred.

 

PHYSICAL:

Must have the ability to stand, sit, walk, see, hear and speak to facilitate effective communication.  Must have the manual dexterity necessary to operate standard office equipment.  Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid SC driver’s license.

 

DUTIES:

Coordinates the development of a health care provider network in the service area.

Serves as liaison with health care organizations at the state and local level. Manages the day-to-day operations of LRHN.

Manages and administers all grant programs issued to LRHN.

Solicits the participation of health care providers in the network and facilitates communication between them. Provides reports on projects and programs as deemed necessary by the Board of Directors.

Develops marketing plans, materials and/or press releases for the network as deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors.

Plans, develops and implements new programs or services as deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors.

Attends Board meetings and other meetings as deemed necessary by the Board. Performs other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

Works effectively with LRHN standing committees (Financial, Health Information Technology, Health Information Exchange Governance, Clinical Leadership Council, Public Information, and Development).

Manages all LRHN contractual relationships. Provides leadership for LRHN strategic planning. Provides supervision and conducts performance evaluations on any reporting positions.
