- Understand Cost Category Measures, Reporting and Performance Measurement Requirements
- Describe key strategies for improving Cost Category Performance
Cost is an important part of the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) because it measures Medicare payments made for care provided to patients and are the initial steps towards MIPS success and practice improvement.
