Communications Director

The Communications Director strategically develops and oversees all communications initiatives, internal and external, that tell the South Carolina Office of Rural Health’s story to key internal and external audiences. S/he ensures that all communications portray the South Carolina Office of Rural Health in a positive manner, protect the integrity of the South Carolina Office of Rural Health’s brand, and creates a greater awareness of and positive attitude toward the organization.

The Communications Director will lead and manage an effective, results oriented, and collaborative communications team.

Government Relationship Coordinator

The Government Relations Coordinator will coordinate all public policy initiatives and advocacy strategies on behalf of the South Carolina Office of Rural Health. The Government Relations Coordinator will work with internal teammates and a diverse cadre of external stakeholders to drive the advocacy efforts that will improve the overall health and wellbeing of rural communities in our state.

Data Specialist

Lexington, SC SCORH office

 In this hybrid position, the Data Specialist will coordinate all data and information collected on behalf of the South Carolina Office of Rural Health. The Data Specialist will work with internal teammates to drive the data collection, analysis and reporting relied upon to improve the overall health and wellbeing of rural communities in our state. The Data Specialist will develop and maintain information management platforms and processes. 

Practice Transformation Specialist 

Lexington, SC SCORH office

The Practice Transformation Specialists will assist in working with ambulatory practices, hospitals, specialty groups and other community and professional service organizations to meet specific grant/contract deliverables related to quality improvement, performance improvement, practice transformation, and quality measurement/reporting.  The Specialist will work with healthcare organizations on chronic disease improvement, medical home development, PCMH Recognition, public health program implementation, systems optimization and quality improvement to help practices and other healthcare organizations achieve improved patient outcomes, office efficiency and satisfaction for the patient and the health care team.
