WORKFORCE RECRUITMENT + RETENTION

We’re here to match medical professionals with opportunities to serve rural communities, and to help rural practices retain talented professionals.

About

South Carolina’s rural communities offer a unique lifestyle for those who choose to live and work here. For healthcare providers, practicing in a rural community is about more than the job. Rural providers are an integral part of the community, and develop meaningful relationships with the patients they serve. The South Carolina Office of Rural Health provides recruitment services to help healthcare employers find the best candidates for their communities. SCORH provides technical assistance to South Carolina’s Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), look-alike community health centers (CHCs), Rural Health Clinics (RHCs), Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs), and other rural healthcare employers to promote their employment opportunities to the available workforce. SCORH also connects these employers to the financial programs and state and national tools that enable them to grow and sustain their practices.
